Distribution and Habitat: This plants originated in South Africa and is cultivated in Madeira and Porto Santo as an ornamental plant, in gardens and on the sides of the roads.
Description: This herbaceous plant has linear, ribbon-shaped leaves that are juicy and shiny dark green and reach a length of 50 cm. The blossoms are concentrated on the stem's edges and are composed of small tubular-shaped flowers, blue or white that may reach a height of 1,2 m.
