Distribution and Habitat: It is present in the Madeira Island, South of the European continent (especially in the Iberian Peninsula) and North of the African continent. It occurs in rocky habitats (rocks, walls, etc.), and it may rarely occur on tree trunks.

Observations: It is capable of easily climbing flat vertical surfaces. In dangerous situations, it emits sounds. It feeds on arachnids and sometimes on young lizards.
