Distribution and Habitat: Endemic of the Madeira Archipelago. It occurs in arid zones close to the ground, under rocks and among ground vegetation.
Description: The shell has an elevated spiral, composed of 4 to 5 turns, finely granulated and small triangular tubercles, with 10 to 12 mm in height and 8 mm in diameter. Its colouration varies, but is usually brownish yellow, with three brown stripes.
