Common name: Cabbage White.

Distribution and Habitat: Common in the Madeira and Porto Santo Islands. Migratory resident.
Description: Small species with less than 40 mm, forewings are beige with dark apexes. The Cabbage White female has larger black marks than the male on its forewings.
Conservation statute and Threats: Very common species.
Observations: During its flight, some larger specimens look like the Large White but, at a closer look, you may see that the Large White's wing is beige and not pure white.
