Distribution and Habitat: Endemic of Madeira.

Description: Species of large dimensions, its size is 55-65 mm. Forewings are pure white a wide black tip on the apexes.

Conservation statute and Threats: In the past, it was extremely spread out, but now it has probably been extinct since the mid 80s. According to some authors, this butterfly was recently found at northwest of the island.
