Distribution and Habitat: Endemic subspecies that may be observed in the Madeira and Porto Santo islands; it lives close to the water and it frequents a large variety of aquatic habitats, especially riversides.
Description: The upper part of its body is grey, the wings are black, the uropygium is greenish yellow and the tail is black and long with white edges. The underparts of the body are white, with a yellow under tail and a varying amount of yellow on the chest.
Conservation statute and Threats: There is no identified threat that may endanger this species.
