Distribution and Habitat: Worldwide species, occurring essentially in the littoral zones at mid and low depths. It is frequent in ports and artificial dikes.

Description: This algas thallus is erect, 2 cm to 40 cm high and green. It has a blade-like, tubular shape, generally not branched or with few ramifications close to the base.
