Distribution and Habitat: Present North ot the Northern Atlantic Ocean (up to Mauritania) and in the Mediterranean Sea. It occurs essentially in the Infralittoral rocky zones.

Description: This alga binds itself to the substrate with a basal disk, reaching approx. 4 cm to 5 cm in height. It has a pale pink colouration and is highly calcified. The branches are not dichotomous.
