Distribution and Habitat: It is present in the Atlantic Ocean and in the Mediterranean Sea. It constitutes characteristic communities, mainly through the accumulation of free-living shrub-like thalli on the coast between 20 m and 80 m depth.

Description: Calcified and shrub-like thallus with cylindrical branches. It presents a highly morphologic variation. Its colouration is bright pink. Its ramification can be scarce to numerous.
