Scientific name: Chromodoris purpurea (Risso in Guérin, 1831)

Distribution and Habitat: Its presence in the region is common. It is found in the medium and infralittoral levels, under rocks, in vertical walls or inside caves, always near sponges on which it feeds.

Description: They reach a maximum of 30 mm in length. Its colour is light violet or pink with irregular dark violet spots abundant on the mid back. On the backs edge the colouration is yellow, previously outlined by another thin white line. Its tentacles are a very dark violet with the apical area being white.
