Distribution and Habitat: Its presence in the region is very common. You may find it in the supralittoral area, in cracks and in small rocky cavities, which enables it to withstand long periods out of the water.

Description: The shell is oval shaped and it may reach a height of 18 mm. The shell of the adult animals has 5 to 6 whorls. The operculum is circular and the shell is grey. The animals body is also grey or black.

Observations: It feeds preferentially on green algae.
