Distribution and Habitat: Coastal species that generally inhabits rocky bottoms that have algae.
Description: Its body is oblong and the head and mouth are small. There is a row of canine-like teeth in the mouth. The males are green with brown spots and bluish blotches, a black spot at the middle of the caudal fins base and a rosy snout. Females and juveniles are dark brown, with white dots all over the body forming irregular vertical lines. Its maximum length is 18 cm.
