Distribution and Habitat: Usually an oceanic pelagic species, it lives mostly under floating objects up to 100 m depth.
Description: Oval, laterally compressed and high body, small mouth with short and strong teeth. It has a bluish grey colouration, lighter in the ventral part, forming a mottled pattern. The fins are blue with light dots and lines. Its maximum length is 40 cm.
