Distribution and Habitat: It lives in the rocky bottoms up to 100 m depth.

Description: It has an elongated body and a large head with thick lips. Its back mandible is slightly prognathous. The anal fin is short and the caudal fin is cut off. In general, the had is reddish with white and blue spots. The body is reddish brown with white vertical stripes on the sides. It has a white stripe along the lateral line. The fins present blue and white dots. It reaches a maximum length of 35 cm.

Observations: Caught with a handline and a longline. It is a hermaphrodite species.
