Camping

The word “camping” means, in a strict sense, camp; in a broad sense means to live in the country, that is, to live with the Nature, using a tent. Camping is the most complete and instructive form of sportive tourism.

The Archipelago of Madeira offers a great diversity of places and landscapes uniques in the World, that match perfectly with this type of activity, besides being an excellent option for those who want to make tourism, associated with the practice of sports.

In Madeira there is a club that promotes camping, mountaineering , caravanismand car-caravanism, and has two camping fields, one in the north coast of the island, in Ribeira da Janela, and the other in the Island of Porto Santo. Besides these organized places, it is possible to make wild camping in any of the two islands, counting on mild temperatures during almost all the year and the inexistence of dangerous animals, to enjoy the beautiful landscapes in a direct contact with the Nature.
