Distribution and Habitat: Endemic species of Madeira that inhabits rocky places in the island's coastline, up to 300 m altitude. It is not very frequent, it may also be found in Porto Santo and Deserta Grande.

Description: Small shrub that may reach 25 cm in height, with several stems and linear dull green or red dyed leaves. Its flowers have greenish yellow petals which may also be red dyed.

Conservation statute and Threats: Common species, not threatened.

Observations: Blooming season is from June to October.
