Scientific name: Larus cachinnans atlantis (Clements, 1991)
Family: Laridae

Conservation statute and Threats: Species of minor preoccupation. Population composed of many individuals and with a wide area of occurrence and distribution.
Observations: A growing species, mainly due to the abundance of food (organic waste). In the Selvagens islands, this population growth has been dramatic and is probably associated with the presence of fishing boats in the area.
