Distribution and Habitat: Its presence in the region is very common, and it is characteristic of the intertidal area, where it may be found on rocky substrates in extremely well lighted areas with breaking waves.

Description: The gregarious anemone may reach 10 cm in length, its spine is flat and the base consists of a sucker of little adherence, which allows the animal to move easily. On the crown it has more than 150 urticating tentacles arranged in very flexible, long circles rarely retracted. The colouration is greenish, brownish or yellowish and the tips of the tentacles are generally reddish or violet-coloured.
