Common name: Rough-toothed Dolphin.

Scientific name: Steno bredanensis (Lesson, 1828)

Distribution and Habitat: Its presence in the region is rare. This species is generally oceanic, occurring by the coast, only in the islands.

Description: The head has a long beak and the flippers and dorsal fin are wide and prominent. The inferior jaw and the lips are very light, with a white or rosy shade. The dorsal region has a darker pattern, in contrast with the lateral region which is light greyish blue. It reaches 2.3 m in length and weighs 130 Kg.
